The world community and world leaders face challenges to accelerate the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and promote inclusive Green Growth. In its 70th General Assembly in September 2015, the United Nations adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and 169 targets for the next 15 years. All the UN member countries are committed to this Global Agenda for Sustainable Development. Advancing the 2030 Development Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals requires deeper transitions to more resource-efficient, resilient forms of growth that bring social, economic and environmental benefits over the medium and longer term.
To join the processes of contributions in this momentous transition of global development agenda, the Institute of Development Studies and Sustainability (IDSS) at the United International University (UIU) is organizing ‘International Conference on Sustainable Development’ in every February since 2017 in Dhaka. The aim of the UIU-ICSD is to bring together government organizations, universities, research organizations, UN and international agencies, NGOs, private organizations, media, academia, researchers, experts, civil society representatives, youth, and grassroots organizations to share knowledge and practical solutions towards achievement of sustainable development goals. The 4th UIU-ICSD will be held on 18-19 February 2020 at UIU campus, Dhaka.
