Farhana Khan Pushpa

Communication Specialist

Ms. Farhana Khan Pushpa is the Communications Specialist of the Arannayk Foundation. Along with managing the communications activities of the organization, she is managing Arannayk Foundation’s BCCRF funded Climate Resilient Participatory Afforestation and Reforestation Project’s (CRPARP) alternative livelihood component’s communications activities. She has direct involvement in planning and designing strategies for climate change related communication and outreach for programs and initiatives within the framework of center-wide knowledge management and communications strategy. She has been facilitating climate resilience technology related knowledge sharing with targeted audience providing a steady flow of news and stories for various publications for her organization’s various projects.

Ms. Farhana has got field-level experience on climate change adaptation, environmental education and community forestry with organizations like Arannayk Foundation, Wildlife and Nature Conservation Society of Bangladesh, Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs (HECUA) and British Council funded project INSPIRE. She has attended a month long certificate training course on ‘Applied Conservation Biology and Co-Management’ under IPAC Project, Supported by USAID.

Ms. Farhana holds a Master’s in ‘Natural Resources Management’ and a Bachelor’s in ‘Environmental Management’ from Independent University, Bangladesh. While studying at Independent University, Bangladesh she has worked as Graduate Assistant to the Dean of School of Environmental Science and Management (IUB), Language Partner at Bangla Language Institution (BLI) and has also received several academic distinctions (Dean’s award, Dean’s Merit award, Vice Chancellor’s award) from the University.
