Shougat Nazbin Khan

Ms. Shougat Nazbin Khan completed Masters in Technology (M. Tech) in Green Energy Technology from UNESCO Madanjeet Singh School of Green Energy Technology, India. She was awarded with UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Fellowship to pursue the study. Her master’s study was fully funded by South Asia Foundation, an apex body of SAARC. Prior to that, she completed B.Sc. Engg. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) with highest academic honor award (Summa Cum Laude). She has done extensive research on Wind-Solar Hybrid Systems, Grid tied & Standalone Photovoltaic Systems and Thin Film solar cells. She has achieved many academic awards at national and international levels. She has authored and co-authored a number of publications in international journals and presented papers at international conferences home and abroad. Ms. Shougat worked under Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL), Govt. of Karnataka, India as a trainee engineer. In addition to that, she has experience of working as visiting researcher at various MW scale Power Plants and at several research centers. In her career to date, she is teaching EEE & renewable energy courses at university level and conducting international training programs on renewable energy project development & management and on design & installation of grid connected and stand alone solar photovoltaic systems in collaboration with Global Sustainable Energy Solutions (GSES). With solid experience and education in prevailing teaching practices, she is skilled at developing and implementing stimulating renewable energy projects, administering and guiding university level students, organizing national & international training, industrial tours, seminars, workshops, and conferences.
