Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies (BCAS) and United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) signed an MOU in December 04, 2007 for 24 months to implement a project “Field Testing of Innovative Farming Practices Related to Climate Change in the Vulnerable Areas of Bangladesh” under UNEP/APFED Showcase Programme Funding. The main objective of the project was to identify and document innovative farming practices of vulnerable areas of droughts, floods & salinity/tidal surges and validate the innovative practices through field testing in different vulnerable agro-ecosystems.
